Resumen : Uno de los rasgos más destacables del sistema sanitario es el crecimiento del gasto en medicamentos, que presenta incrementos interanuales superiores a los del índice del precio del consumo. Esta situación ha motivado que las autoridades sanitarias hayan desarrollado medidas reguladoras del gasto sanitario, similares a las planteadas en otros países de nuestro entorno. Estas medidas tienen como objetivo frenar el crecimiento del gasto y conseguir una creciente mejora en la calidad asistencial que debe medirse a través de distintos sistemas de evaluación; entre ellos, cabe destacar los sistemas de indicadores que permiten analizar la prescripción farmacológica cuantitativa y cualitativamente de una forma rápida y sistemática. El análisis de la calidad de la prescripción es un retoque debe ser resuelto para poner en marcha distintas intervenciones para mejorar el uso de los medicamentos. Actualmente existe una gran variabilidad entre los distintos equipos de atención primaria respecto al uso de medicamentos, lo que hace necesario el desarrollo de estrategias de análisis que permitan establecer criterios para definir mejor el tipo de intervención y adecuarlas a las distintas necesidades de los mismos.
Descripción : One of the most noteworthy features of the health system is the growth in spending on medicines, which presents year-on-year increases higher than those of the consumer price index. This situation has led health authorities to develop regulatory measures for health spending, similar to those proposed in other countries around us. These measures aim to slow the growth of spending and achieve a growing improvement in the quality of care that must be measured through different evaluation systems; among them, it is worth highlighting the systems of indicators that allow to analyze pharmacological prescription quantitatively and qualitatively in a fast and systematic way. The analysis of the quality of the prescription is a retouch that must be solved to start up different interventions to improve the use of the medicines. Currently, there is great variability among the different primary care teams regarding the use of medications, which makes it necessary to develop analysis strategies that allow establishing criteria to better define the type of intervention and adapt them to the different needs of the same.
