dc.descriptionMexico is constitutionally recognized as a pluricultural nation originally sustained in its indigenous peoples, with the right to "preserve and enrich their languages, knowledge and all the elements that constitute their culture and identity" (paragraph IV, article 2 of the Mexican Constitution). This means that the Mexican state fully recognizes the existence of a diversity of cultural manifestations present in Mexican territory, including languages, and at the same time, implicitly a series of commitments by the Mexican state to promote their respect and recognition.es_ES
dc.description.abstractMéxico se reconoce constitucionalmente como una nación pluricultural sustentada originalmente en sus pueblos indígenas, con derecho a"preservar y enriquecer sus lenguas, conocimientos y todos los elementos que constituyan su cultura e identidad"(párrafo IV, del artículo 2do de la constitución mexicana). Lo anterior significa que el estado mexicano reconoce plenamente la existencia de una diversidad de manifestaciones culturales presentes en el territorio mexicano, entre ellos las lenguas, y al mismo tiempo, implícito una serie de compromisos por parte del estado mexicano para promover su respeto y reconocimiento.es_ES
